CAMPING  - BEFORE YOU GO CAMPING LIST

We've got a check-off list of things to bring along on your next camping adventure, but we have found from experience the need for a list covering "things to do" before heading out.

There's nothing more frustrating than getting fifty miles down the road only to remember that you forgot to switch off the coffee pot. And it doesn't have an auto-off!

Before you bolt out of the drive here is a short checklist that might be of help:

Is garage locked?

Is all water turned off in the house and outside?

If applicable, are all pets secured?

If you plan to be gone overnight, did you leave a few lights on inside the house to deter burglars?  What about a radio?

Did you leave a phone number and/or the location you plan to go with someone so you could be reached in the event of an emergency?

If applicable, did you shut off the iron?

And did you shut off that coffee pot?
