Camping, Tenting & Hiking are great ways to get back in touch with nature and your inner self...
CANOEING IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS
Nothing to do on a warm still day? Consider renting a canoe! Many state parks have this option available and the cost is minimal - most running $7.00 to $10.00 per hour.
You can steer through moss, view fish swimming just beneath the surface of the lake, get in a little exercise, and best of all, get close to Mother Nature. Creek, pond and river plants are awesome.
Consider taking a picnic basket of fried chicken, potato salad, rolls and a portable dessert.
If you're in a low-traffic area, listen for bird calls and sounds emitting from bugs and insects. Remember to pack and apply sunscreen, no mater what the weather.
