FALL CAMPING IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS

Camping during the fall months is perhaps my favorite time during the year  to camp. Cooler days allow for more activity in the campgrounds and crackling campfires are welcomed.

The vacationing thong from summer's crest has thinned to form a private web of seclusion. It's just me, Mother Nature and those fondly-annoying jug-jugs.

Just a few sights to look for while camping during those brisk days of autumn include:

Smaller critters storing winter food, downy birds migrating to warmer climates, breathtaking fall foliage in shades of burnt orange, crimson reds, desert browns, kelly greens and soft violets.  You'll even spy wildflowers in bloom.  Yes, many wildflowers bloom throughout the year - they're not only for Spring and Summer.

Wildlife also takes on thicker coats in preparation of the cold winter days ahead, and the song of the cicada begins to fade along with the hum of the mosquito and the croak of the frog.
