HIKING - ROCKY THE ROCKHOUND
WHAT IS A ROCKHOUND? - If you adore the shapes, sizes,
colors and unique features of rocks, you're most probably a rockhound.
Rockhounds can be found on most weekends scouring hills, valleys,
plains, mountainsides, riverbeds, and canyons in search of unique
rocks.
The Good Earth is made up of many
layers of rock and minerals. New rocks and minerals are continually
forming. In fact, the earth is littered with rocks and minerals
- both inside and out.
Both elements can be colorless
and ordinate while others can bedazzle the most finicky of Earth
Appreciators. The good news for rockhounds is that rockhounding
is one passion that remains unthreatened for a long while.
Rock on, rockhounds!
